Loving Father of Giovanna ‘Joanne’ Odom (Keith) of Jacksonville, Fl; Paula (Sebastian) Ragazzo of Fair Lawn; Michael (Patricia) Daloisio of Brick and Joseph (Lauren) Daloisio, III of Allendale. Born in Paterson, graduated from Eastside HS in 1949, and went on to graduate from Clarkson College of Technology in 1954 with a degree in Civil Engineering through the ROTC program. He then earned a master’s degree from Newark College of Engineering. Joe proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the US Army Corps. of Engineers, stationed in Alaska. After the service he met his wife, got married and moved to Fair Lawn to raise their family.

Joe’s passion and career was Engineering. While he had a love of bridges, he found his calling as a Civil Engineer, designing and building railroads across the northeast for Railroad Construction Company, Inc. of Paterson, founded by his father, before retiring in 1995. Desiring to continue his love of railroad work, he co-founded and managed Daloisio Track Construction, LLC until 2003. In 2007, he moved to Wanaque until 2012 and has resided in Allendale for the last 14 years.

He was a parishioner of Church of the Guardian Angel in Allendale. His selfless, loving and giving nature was evident to anyone who knew him and as shown throughout the many organizations he was a member of, which included the Fair Lawn Rotary, the Cosmos Club of Fair Lawn, BPO Elks Club, St. Anne Seniors of Fair Lawn, St. Anthony Club of Paterson, and The American Society of Civil Engineers. He had an insatiable love of sports and would watch all sport for hours, especially the NY Yankees. He loved to bowl, play golf, play cards and tell stories with his friends, enjoy an occasional cigar and go to the racetrack to cheer the horses on as they ran.
