Joseph A Foglia

Joseph Arthur Foglia, age 81, passed away in the early morning on Monday, January 6th. Born to Arthur and Nancy Foglia on July 15, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph resided in Brooklyn with his loving wife Michele.

Joseph held a JD and LLM from St. John’s University and NYU Law Schools. He was an esteemed attorney and a kind and generous friend and mentor. Joseph gave his time, advice, and legal assistance to many friends and loved ones over the years. He delighted in helping others both professionally and personally, and was a champion of civil rights for marginalized communities. 

Joseph was a loving husband to Michele Foglia (nee Cobin) and a devoted uncle to their nieces Shannon and Noelle. He was a loving father to his daughters Brooke and Chloe, their partners Bill and Brian, and their children, Sylvia, Willem, Oliver, and Twyla Pearl. He is remembered by his beloved sister Lynda, and was a cherished uncle to Kimberly, Keith and their families. 

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday January 26, 2025 from 12pm–2pm at Vander Plaat Funeral home in Wyckoff, NJ.
