Joseph Lerro, 98, Beloved Family Man, Outdoorsman, and Musician
Joseph Lerro, 98, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Joseph lived a life full of love, music and family.
He was reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Rosemary Lerro (née Fisher), who passed away on April 14, 2004. Together, they built a beautiful life and a strong, loving family.
Joseph had a deep passion for the outdoors, finding joy in fishing, hunting, and gardening. However, his greatest happiness came from being with his family and sharing his love of music. A talented accordion player, he was a longtime member of the Joe Lerro Trio Band, bringing music and joy to many over the years. Joseph worked in the garment industry for many years as co-owner of Riverpark Manufacturing.
Above all, Joseph cherished his family. He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his 6 children, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever hold his love, wisdom, and melodies in their hearts.
His warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley Hospice.
May he rest in peace, forever playing his accordion and casting his line in peaceful waters.
