Julia Wong

Julia Wong passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 11, 2020 at the age of 86. Born in Shanghai, China, lived in Brazil and she emigrated to the U.S. in 1956 settling in New York City. She was a long time resident of Westwood before moving to Washington Township.  Julia graduated from Pratt University and Hunters College where she obtained her Master’s Degree. Before retiring, Julia was Head Registered Dietician at Columbia Medical Center in New York. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years to William S. Wong; daughter Aileen, her husband Jeff; son Gary G. Wong, his wife Pamela; five grandchildren: David, Jonathan, Cecilia, Kira and Erik. Visitation for Julia will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. with family remembrances beginning at 2:30. p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. Contributions in Julia’s memory may be made to the Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 N. Van Dien Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
