Juliette Karas, born on March 15, 1940, in Alexandria, Egypt, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at the age of 85.
Juliette was the cherished daughter of the late Hanna Abdelsayed and Dawlat Aziz. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Mounir Goani, and by her brothers, Fouad and Kamal.
Juliette graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Alexandria, and was a lifelong learner and student.
Juliette is survived by her loving children, Manal (Sameh), Bassem (Jolanta), and Nevine (John); by her adored grandchildren - Anne (Jordan), Ashley, Gabrielle, David, Alex, Julia, Leila, and John - and by her precious great grandson, Jude.
She is also survived by her sister Janette (the late Mokhtar) and brother Ezzat (Soraya), her sisters in law Sonia and Aida, and by many nephews and nieces.
Juliette was a deeply devoted follower and believer in Jesus Christ. Such faith permeated every aspect of her life, expressed in sacrificial love, generosity, hospitality, kindness, endurance through difficult circumstances, and encouragement of others. Her wonderful life touched many lives in her native Egypt and in her adopted home, the United States of America, where she proudly became a citizen in 2007. Juliette’s infectious laughter, zest for life, and love for all will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 11am, at Cornerstone Christian Church, 495 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ, 07481.
The family will receive friends following the service.
