Kathleen J. Nienhouse

Kathleen Janet Nienhouse, age 72 of North Haledon, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

She was born on February 10, 1951, the third of four children to Ernest and Margaret (Jellema) Nienhouse and lived in North Haledon her entire life.  She graduated from Eastern Christian High School and worked for many years at ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) in Fairfield, New Jersey in the customer service/order department prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her brother Ernest (June) Nienhouse of North Haledon, her step-sister Donna (Angelo) Foschini of North Haledon, her nieces and nephews, Kim Huguenel, Kevin (Heidi) Nienhouse, James (Vanessa) Nienhouse, Verna (John) Holcomb, Sarah (Jon) Stelling, Frank Nienhouse, Amanda Nienhouse, Amy (Nik) Coleski, Rachel (Justin) Alterio, and Stacy (Steve) Battaglia, 19 great-nieces and nephews, 1 great-great nephew and many cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers Frank and Henry.

Kathi loved all animals, especially her two cats, Didi and Ellsbury.  She was a life-long member of Unity Christian Reformed Church of Prospect Park.

Kathi enjoyed watching baseball and was a “die-hard” Yankee fan.
