Kevin Patrick Quinn

Kevin Patrick Quinn, of Allendale, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2023. He was born on February 29,1952 in Brooklyn, NY to Loretta (Coyne) Quinn and the late William Quinn. Beloved husband of Susan Patrice (Loesch) Quinn. Loving father of Patricia Wiley (Joseph) and Erica Bullinger (Kevin) and cherished grandfather of Patrick, Benjamin, Nora, Alexandra, Henry, Claire and James. Proud brother of William Quinn, Terrence Quinn and Lori Quinn Moylan. He was predeceased by his dear brother Dennis Quinn. Caring cousin, uncle and godfather to many nieces and nephews, and a generous neighbor and friend.   

Kevin spent his childhood in Westbury, NY, attended the State University of NY at Albany where he played baseball, and was later inducted into the Hall of Fame. During his time at Albany, he met his true love, Susan. Kevin graduated with a degree in accounting, which served as the foundation of his 40 year career in private banking in New York City. While dedicated to his profession, his many joys came from the time spent with his cherished family and friends. Allendale was his homestead and where he and Susan raised their daughters. He was active in the community, most notably as a member of the Holiday Observers and long standing Chairman of the Planning Board. He was also fortunate to spend many summers on LBI where he never missed watching a sunset over Barnegat Bay.

Kevin’s guidance had an impact on many. He led others through his selflessness and loyalty, with a reassuring presence that would bring peace during life’s challenges. He enjoyed traveling, watching the Yankees and playing golf. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time on his boat, The Mighty Quinn. In recent years, he was able to create countless memories with his grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy and love.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, 11:30 AM at the Church of the Guardian Angel, 320 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale NJ.
