Kyriaki “Koula” Sirinides, aged 90, of Mahwah, New Jersey, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2026, surrounded by her five children.
Born on January 8, 1936, in Athens, Greece, Koula was the daughter of refugees, embodying a legacy of resilience, deep faith, strength, and love throughout her life. In 1966, she emigrated to the United States with her husband and three children, establishing roots in Midland Park and Tenafly.
Koula was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Alexander Sirinides, in 2017. She is survived by her children: Themis (Donna) Sirinides, Albert (Kerri) Sirinides, Daphne Sirinides Owimrin, Marianne Sirinides Coutouzis, and Michael Sirinides, with whom she resided. A proud Yiayia, she leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3great-great-grandchild.
Though her journey took her across continents, Koula’s heart found its true home wherever her family gathered. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother, cherished Yiayia, and a dear friend. Her life was marked by immense joy and unwavering faith. We take comfort in the belief that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she served faithfully for her entire life
