Lillian A Pizappi

Lillian A. “Vera” Pizappi, age 87 of Waldwick, died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  “Vera” as she was affectionately known, was born in New York, NY and had been a longtime resident of Saddle Brook and Lodi, NJ before moving to Waldwick, NJ in 2009.  Prior to her retirement, Vera was a waitress at Solari’s Restaurant in Hackensack, NJ.  Vera is survived by her loving children; Lisa Provenzano, Lori Garb and her husband Robert, all of Waldwick, NJ and her son, Rick Tara and wife Sharon of Framington, New Hampshire.  She is also survived by her grandchildren; Zachary and Dylan Garb, Ashley Stewart and husband Rob, Jamie Miele and husband John and Joshua Tara and wife Ashley and her Grand Dog Oliver, her four sisters; Fran Rowan and husband Don (deceased), Marion Sutton and husband Ray (deceased), Linda Cortes and husband George, Nancy Celento and husband Anthony and brother-in-law Dom Frisina in addition to numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Vera was predeceased by her husband, Remo “Ray” Provenzano and step daughter Toni-Ann Provenzano and her sisters; Ellen “Sis” Frisina and Annette Caruso and husband Tom.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ.  A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 11:30 AM at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
