Linda Ann Thompson (nee Briggs) age 61 of Oak Ridge, NJ, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister
in law, daughter in law and fierce friend of many, passed on peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Born in
Paterson, NJ, Linda lived in Clifton before moving to Oak Ridge 15 years ago.
She graduated from Clifton High School class of 1978, succeeding in many accomplishments throughout
her life. She loved her family immensely, and her grandchildren were her entire world. She enjoyed
vacationing with her husband and family at the New Jersey Shore making memories. Cruises and the
beach along with Atlantic City were also her favorites.
She is survived by her mother; Francine Briggs, her husband; Elliott Thompson, her daughter; Gina
McFarlane and her husband Michael, her son; John Chomenko and his wife Maria, her grandchildren;
Skylar McFarlane and Colin McFarlane, her sisters; Diane DeAngelis and Tina Boccafogli, her Brother in
law; Michael Boccafogli; her nephew; Daniel DeAngelis and his fiancee Lauren, her nephew; Steven
DeAngleis and his wife Marialyce and their son Anthony, her nephew; Austin Deangelis, her nephew;
Michael Boccafogli and his fiancee Amanda, her nephew; Ryan Boccafogli, her mother in law; Carol
Thompson, and her beloved dog Titus whom she wanted all her life.
The Thompson family will receive family and friends on Thursday, July 28, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the
Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will be Friday 10:00 AM at
Sacred Heart RC Church, 145 Randolph Avenue, Clifton. Interment will follow in St. Thomas the Apostle
Cemetery in Oak Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s name may be made to the “Tunnel to Towers”
foundation, as she was a fierce advocate for our American heroes.
