Lisa M. Scavone

Lisa M. Scavone, age 62, of Highland Beach, FL, formerly of Mahwah, NJ was called home to the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2024, with her loving husband by her side.  Lisa was born in Jersey City and had been a resident of Mahwah before moving to Highland Beach, FL.  Prior to her retirement, Lisa was an Equities Trader with Bear Sterns in Manhattan, for 10 years.  Lisa was a parishioner of St. Lucy’s RC Church, Highland Beach, FL. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Stephen M. Scavone of Highland Beach, FL, her two sisters, Susan Manalio of Ringwood, NJ and Maria Ferguson and her husband, Doug of Binghamton, NY.  Also surviving are five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents James and Dorothy Manalio and her sister-in-law, Kathleen Scavone. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Luke’s RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpke., Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423 with the burial to follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa’s memory may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
