Loretta Chester Obituary

The family of Loretta (Fevola) Chester of Venice, Florida is saddened to announce her passing on April 17, 2023. She was the third of five children born in the Bronx, New York to Loretta (Ciferri) and Ralph Fevola in 1943.  Loretta is survived by her husband of 14 years, Vincent Saputo, her two daughters, Pamela and husband, Stephen Moore of Austin, TX and Alison and husband, Charles Hlavac of Red Bank, NJ, grandchildren Mirabelle, Rose, and Luke Moore, and Charles Hlavac.  Loretta is survived by sisters Rose Anne Russo and Dale Clemente.  

Loretta is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Richard Chester (d. 2006), her brother, R. Timothy Fevola (d. 2022), and her sister Madeline Damon (d. 1994).  

Loretta grew up in the Bronx, NY and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School.  She moved to Allendale, NJ when she married Richard Chester in 1970.  Loretta worked at Metromedia in Manhattan, NY for several years and became a Realtor in Bergen County, NJ in the early 1990’s.  After many years with Brook Hollow Realty and Special Properties Group, Loretta retired and eventually moved to Venice, Florida.  Loretta was an active member of her church, serving on their mission board for a season and helping with their food pantry ministry.  She enjoyed her Bible study and was known as a faithful friend to many.  Her true joy in life was   spending time with her grandchildren, her family, and her beloved friends.  

Funeral services will take place at Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ on April 28, 2023 at noon.
