Lourdes Estacion

Lourdes Ramos Estacion, 76, of Tampa, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, November
28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

Lourdes was born on September 26,1948 to Felixberto and Lourdes Ramos in Manila,
Philippines. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo
Tomas in Manila. In 1969, Lourdes settled in New York where she married the love of her life,
Ray, and raised her four adoring daughters. 

For over 50 years, Lourdes was the most genuinely caring and compassionate nurse, touching
the lives of thousands of families throughout the northeast and Florida. During the last 17 years
of her nursing career, she cared for veterans at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. Lourdes
retired in 2018 at the age of 70.

Lourdes was eternally devoted to her family and was selfless, always putting others’ needs
ahead of her own. She embodied the definition of kindness and generosity and everyone that
met Lourdes, even for a moment, felt blessed to have known her. Lourdes truly enjoyed her
family camping adventures and spending time with her seven grandchildren. She was an avid
reader, plant lover, and a huge sports fan. Lourdes was a devout Catholic and her unwavering
faith gave her the strength and resilience to overcome any obstacle. Her life was a blessing, and
we continue to carry her in our hearts.

Beloved wife of Ray Estacion. Cherished mother of Joanne Halesworth, Angela Estacion,
Vanessa Nichols, and Regina Andrews and their respective partners Dave Haubner, Aldwin
Lewis, Jeremy Nichols, and Chris Andrews.

Loving grandmother of Herschel, Harrison, and Heston Halesworth, Phillip Lewis, Isabelle
Lourdes and Hunter Andrews, and Juniper Lourdes Nichols. 

Lourdes was predeceased by her mother and father, Lourdes and Felixberto Ramos, Sr., and
siblings Ernesto Ramos, Rufina Ramos, Grace Fry, and Virginia Leyba.
She is survived by her siblings Felixberto Ramos Jr., Cecille David, and Ricardo Ramos.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, January, 11, 2025 from 12-4pm at
the Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, New Jersey 07481. A service is
planned for 3-3:30 pm at the same location.

In remembrance of Lourdes’ life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to
Breakthrough T1D  (formerly the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation).
