Lucy (Desoto) Lama

Lucy Lama age 88 died peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Born in Puerto Rico, Lucy came to the United States as a child settling with her family in Brooklyn, NY. Lucy came to Lodi with her husband Charles Sr. in 1958 where they raised their family. She was a graduate of Beauty School and in her early career worked for Bloomingdale’s in New York City. She attended the Preakness Bible Church in Wayne.

Surviving are her devoted Sons, Charles Jr. and Salvatore and his wife Marthann. She also leaves her loving grandson Charles P. Lama III. Lucy was pre-deceased by her husband Charles Lama Sr. and her daughter-in- law, Geraldina Lama both in 2015.

The Lama family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, November 4, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 5, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Hackensack Cemetery.
