Madeline L. Behring

Madeline Louise Behring (Zenerino), 90 of Wyckoff, NJ formerly of Ramsey and Oakland passed into eternal life on Wednesday August 27, 2025. Madeline was a devoted wife, loving and kind mother and cherished Grammie to grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves a legacy of compassion to her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband of 69 years Henry, Sister in Law Joan Johnson/Stan and Doris Hielber/John.
Survived by her children Lynn Linz/Steve, AnnMarie Polster/George and Henry Behring/ Robyn. Grandchildren George Polster/Melissa, Bryan Polster/Kris, Kelsey White/Matt and Danielle Rivera/Brandon. Great Grandchildren: Liliana Marie, Lucas Steven, George Henry, Avery Elizabeth, Mackenzie Marie, Madeline Louise and Cole Anthony.

Madeline grew up in Paterson, NJ the beloved daughter of the late Constano and Louise Zenerino. She attended St. Joseph school then worked in fashion merchandising until her marriage in 1955. They resided in Ramsey until 2017. Madeline was a homemaker who volunteered her time at St. Paul's school and parish. There she participated in St. Paul's bowling league, as well as their ladies auxiliary. She was an active member of the Pompton Lakes Elks #1895 . In her earlier years as an Elk she enjoyed visiting Elks Camp Moore. After raising her children she returned to fashion merchandising where she worked at Sealfons in Ridgewood in the boys department for many years. She loved traveling, cruises, day trips and dinner with friends. Above all she loved her family who will miss her dearly.

The Behring family will receive friends on Friday, August 29, 2025 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
