Madeline Dyk, 86 of Lake Hopatcong, formerly of Hawthorne, died peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Born in Paterson, Madeline lived in Wayne for many years before settling in Hawthorne in 1992.
She was an Office Manager for Bergen Behavioral Wellness Association in Oakland, a member of the Union Reformed Church in Franklin Lakes.
She is survived by her children, Karen L. Przezdzecki, William C. Ritter and wife Suzy, and David A. Ritter and wife Nora. Madeline was a loving grandmother to her 6 granddaughters, Alexis, Jenifer, Rachel, Rebecca, Samantha, and Hailey, and 5 great grandchildren and her brothers Cornelius Breen and Albert Breen.
Madeline was predeceased by her first husband William Ritter in 1988 and by her second husband Hubie Dyk in 2019.
The Ritter family will receive friends on Friday, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
