Margaret Daniels

Daniels, Margaret Elizabeth (nee Ward) “aka Peggy”, passed away on January 16, 2023, very peacefully at Christian Health Center in Wyckoff. She was born to James Anderson Ward and Margaret Kean on January 12, 1933 in Passaic, NJ. She grew up in Passaic and Clifton where she attended Clifton High School class of 1951. She was a Worthy Advisor of the Order of Rainbow Girls of Passaic Chapter #14 where she met her first husband Robert. They married in 1952 and had four children whom she raised in Allendale, NJ. Surviving are her children Peter (Paula) of Minerva, NY, Barbara of Waldwick, NJ , Donald (Lynn) of Franklin Lakes, NJ. She was predeceased by daughter Peggy (Ray) in 2000. She has 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored.
Peggy had been an LPN nurse since 1964 and worked at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood in CCU and then worked for Drs. Kass, Steinberg and O’Hare in Ramsey for 25 years. Peggy moved around a lot and in her moving to Pottersville NY, back to Ramsey and Waldwick, then Trout Creek, NY, Stroudsburg, PA and Lehighton, PA, she worked in nursing homes and various jobs. She was a member of the Ben Salem Church in Pennsylvania while living in Lehighton, PA.
She loved the outdoors, camping, was an avid reader and had a love for animals and especially loved hummingbirds.  She was predeceased by husbands Robert and Peter, and her two sisters, Betty Jaten, and Carolyn Holley.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity of choice.
The memorial service will be held on February 3, 2023, at 6-8pm at Vander Platt Funeral Home 257 Godwin Avenue Wyckoff. Interment will be held for immediate family at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton NJ. Saturday, February 4, at 10:00am
