Marian Virginia Stapert, 92, of Branchville, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Born in Passaic, Marian lived in Midland Park for many years before moving to Branchville.
Marian was predeceased by her loving husband Barney Stapert in 1995. Marian is survived by her daughters Maureen Ruemler, Robin Trevor and her husband Keith, as well as her grandson Kevin Trevor and his wife Erica and two great grandsons Tyler and Wyatt.
She was a former active member of the Ramapo Valley Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was also a member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church where she received her Stephen Ministries certificate in 1991.
Marian was a graduate of Rutherford High School, Class of 1946. She was employed as an Underwriting Clerk at State Farm NE Regional Insurance in Wayne for 18 years before retiring in 1991. Marian was a proud member of the Ferro Monte Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and a Mayflower descendant. At age 68, Marian enjoyed taking flying lessons at Lincoln Park Airport where she was a member of the Ninety-Nines North Jersey Chapter.
Visiting hours are 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, March 28th at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
