Marion J. LaFemina, 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Marion was a devoted wife to Anthony LaFemina for fifty-five years, a wonderful mother to her two daughters Melissa Candela and Allison Hill, an amazing grandmother to her four granddaughters: Sophie Hill, Emma Hill, Cassie Candela, Emily Candela, a terrific great grandmother to her great grandson Mason Bautista-Hill and a fantastic mother-in-law to her son-in-law James Candela.
She was the daughter of Josephine Pisciotta and sister to Franklin Johnson. She was born and raised in Passaic County, NJ and spent most of her adult life as a resident of Ridgewood, NJ.
Marion was a dynamic Teacher of Biology & Physical Science at Ridgewood High School for twenty-five years, she enjoyed her time running the Evening Under the Stars program at the Shell in Ridgewood, NJ and could always be found in the garden. She loved teaching and gardening, but most of all; she loved her family. She will be missed, and we will hold her in our hearts forever.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 10am at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.nativitynj.org. Entombment to follow at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Road, Twp. of Washington.
