Michael Mendoza Obituary

In Loving Memory of Michael Adams Mendoza

August 4, 1960 - November 16, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Adams Mendoza, who left us on November 16, 2024, at the age of 64. Michael was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend, whose kindness, thirst for knowledge, and dedication to his family and career touched the lives of all who knew him.

Born on August 4, 1960, Michael was the son of Rosa and Estelito Mendoza. He was a graduate of Groton School and the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career in technology, particularly in the field of Smart Home tech, was marked by his relentless curiosity, integrity, and passion for innovation. Michael was always seeking to learn more, to challenge himself, and to find ways to improve the world through technology.

Above all, Michael was a family man. He was the beloved husband of Karen and the loving father of Alexander and Chloe. His love for his family was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was also deeply connected to his extended family, including his mother-in-law Marlene Fink, and his siblings, Susan, Agnes (spouse Chito), Lennie, and Jobie (spouse Gigi), brother-in-law Steve (spouse Lisa), and sister-in-law Debbie. Michael’s steady presence and deep affection for his family will be profoundly missed.

Outside of his professional life, Michael found joy in many activities. He was an avid cyclist and enjoyed biking with his friends, exploring new routes and pushing his limits. Scuba diving was another passion of his, which he shared with his family, creating lasting memories. Traveling was another joy, especially when it involved spending time with those he loved on family vacations. And of course, he loved his dogs…and they adored him.

Michael’s legacy of self-betterment, love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a man who sought to make the world a better place, not just through his work but through his deep commitment to those around him. Michael leaves behind a family that will forever carry his memory and honor his spirit.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date, and the family welcomes all who knew him to join in remembering the man who touched so many lives with his warmth and generosity.
