Michael Harris, 62, of Parsippany, NJ, passed away on February 4, 2025. Born on February 16, 1962, Michael grew up in Mahwah, where he developed a love for adventure, friendship, and a well-lived life.
A graduate of Don Bosco Prep, Michael went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in History from St. Thomas Aquinas College, where he graduated summa cum laude. His intellect and curiosity were matched only by his warmth and generosity. He spent over two decades working in purchasing at Kuiken Brothers in Midland Park, where his expertise and easygoing nature made him a valued colleague and friend.
Michael had a passion for motorcycles, finding freedom on the open road, and he deeply cherished time spent with his friends and family. Whether sharing a laugh, a story, or a nice glass of scotch, he made those around him feel welcome and appreciated. A friend to everyone, he had a rare gift for bringing people together.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Sydney and Nanette Harris of Mahwah; his fiancée, Julie Forrester of Parsippany; his brothers, Paul Harris of Mahwah and Bill Harris and his wife, Marisa, of Wyckoff. He was a beloved uncle to Paul’s children, Paul and Alaina, and Bill and Marisa’s children, Nina, Graham, and Reid. He also leaves behind countless friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and camaraderie.
