Nancy M. (nee Pieper) Van De Veen, a long time resident of Midland Park, NJ died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 16th 2021. She was 78 years old. Nancy was born on January 15, 1943 and was raised in Ridgewood, NJ, where she attended the public schools and was a proud graduate of The Ridgewood High School, Class of 1960. She also spent many of her childhood weekends and summers in the Silverton section of Toms River NJ, where she was able to connect with numerous friends and loved to fill her days with swimming, crabbing, and boating in the Silver Bay with her family. Immediately following her high school graduation, Nancy was employed by The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, and she returned to work there again in 1990, where she worked as a film librarian until retiring in 2013, after 23 wonderful years. Nancy was also a long time and active member of the congregation of Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park, where she attended services regularly and volunteered often. But Nancy's greatest pride and joy were her two daughters and her three cherished grandchildren, whom she adored. She spent endless hours nurturing, offering guidance and love, and teaching lessons whenever she felt a lesson could be learned. She will be missed deeply by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her two daughters: Jodie Nichols and her husband Scott, of Corsica SD, and Laurie Parisi and her husband Matt, of Wyckoff, NJ; and her three grandchildren Robert Nichols, Jonathan Nichols, and Emily Parisi.
