Peter Redmond

Peter Redmond, 82, of Mahwah, NJ, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Pete is a native of his beloved Highbridge in The Bronx, NY. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, DeLaSalle High School in Manhattan and Saint John’s University. He interrupted his college studies to serve in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966.

Peter was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Mark and Kathryn Redmond and his dear sister, Joan Eliseo, who passed before him.

He is survived by his loving wife Francine, three sons Thomas and his wife Jaclyn, Patrick, Michael and his wife Laura, and daughter Annie Cilinski and her husband Chris, as well as three grandsons, Thomas and Luke Redmond and Rowan Cilinski.

Pete was loved by many, especially dear friends from Highbridge. He had a life-long love of the Giants and attended many memorable games at the Yankee Stadium. He also thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles and his nightly Jeopardy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19th 2pm to 6pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.

A Funeral Mass is planned for Thursday, February 20th at 10am at St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary in Wyckoff, NJ. Following Mass, entombment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter may be made to Calvary Hospital, the Bronx, NY.
