Peter Wendrychowicz

Peter J. Wendrychowicz (81), of Mahwah, formerly from Middletown CT, passed away on August 31st., 2024.

Peter graduated from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. with a BA in English and received a Master's of Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.

He sadly leaves behind his loving and patient wife, Terry (nee Macking), of 59 years and their seven children: Dawn-Marie (Larry Lombardi), Mark (Ann), Scott, Heather (Garry Alesio), Kelly (Steve), Jessica (Billy Spellman), and Keith (Alli). He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren:  Matthew, Ryan, Nicholas (Lombardi), Nolan, James (Wendrychowicz), Elizabeth, Kyle, Connor Wendrychowicz, Lily Alesio, Mackenzie, and Riley (Spellman). He is predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Janis (nee James) Wendrychowicz and his granddaughter Charlotte Wendrychowicz.

During the course of his life he was an active member in the following organizations: Mahwah Youth Sports Boosters, Eucharistic Minister at Immaculate Conception Church in Mahwah, Mahwah Board of Education, Mahwah Public Library trustee, Bergen County Library Association, New Jersey Public Library Association, Mahwah Community News, NJ School Board of Education Board Of Directors.  Additionally, he coached soccer and track at Suffern Middle and High School and was employed by Ramapo Central School District for 39 years.
