Punam Katiyar

Punam Katiyar passed away peacefully at her home in Ridgewood on October 2nd at a young age of 52 years. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing, who had been her support of strength in her courageous battle with cancer for nearly 2 years. Punam is the beloved wife of Saurabh Katiyar and loving mother to two boys – Ritwik and Ronith, sister of Anand and Aditya, and daughter of Shri RP Verma and Maya Verma. She was greatly adored in her family of in laws and leaves behind mother Smt Saroj, sisters Shikha and Rashmi and brother Neeraj.

Punam was born in India on October 30th, 1969 and had moved with her family to United States, Ridgewood in 2010. She was a very lively and cheerful person, full of energy and zeal, ever smiling and ever helpful. She was adored in her circle of friends and had a special liking for children. She would be dearly missed by all who had known her.

The visitation will be held at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5,2022 from 9:30 to 10:45. The Funeral service for Punam  will start at 10:45 am. Cremation is private.
