Raffaella M Iovine

Raffaella Margaret Iovine, 101, formerly a resident of Washingtonville and most recently a resident of Saddle River passed away on June 2, 2026.

Raffaella was born on April 18th, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York to Jenny and John Groia. 
After high school, Raffaella worked for the Uneeda Biscuit Company, now known as NABISCO and subsequently for Charles Pfizer, now known as Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
Raffaella retired from Pfizer after 25 years of service where she excelled as the primary accountant and bookkeeper for Coty products, the largest fragrance manufacturer in the United States, acquired by Pfizer in 1963. 

In 1948, she married Gennaro Iovine, beloved husband and father, who passed away in 1989. Raffaella and Gennaro had three children, Michael, Gary and Gerard. She is survived by her children, daughters in law Annie and Cecilia, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jerry, Deanna and Michael, and three great grandchildren, Michael, Quinn and Jaxon. 
 
Raffaella will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends and for her exceptional desire and strength to remain independent even in her later years. She will be dearly missed. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 7th, from 1 pm to 5pm, with a prayer service starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.  

Chapel service and interment will take place Monday June 8th, 2026, at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735 at 11:30 a.m. Please meet outside the main office at 11:15 a.m. to follow in procession to the chapel.
