It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rita J. Kuipers, who peacefully entered eternal life with our Lord on October 16, 2025. Rita lived an incredible long life filled with love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, career and religion. She was an amazing lady who accomplished so much in her lifetime with respect and grace.
A long time native of Bergan County, Rita worked for 70 years in the law field. Rita was an avid gardener, artist, a devout fan of Frank Sinatra and a traveler. She is survived by her loving son Bruce, daughter Judy, her two grandsons Jack & Paul, a step-son Richard as well as her dear cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel for whom she was married to for 37 years. Together they faced every challenge with courage and grace, guided by their love and commitment for each other.
Rita’s greatest joy was her family and home. She was a devoted wife, exemplary mother & step-mother, a proud grandmother and family matriarch. She possessed a major will to live - a true love for life.
Rita embodied the spirit of hard work, resilience, and unconditional love to everyone in her life. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled—faith, humility, and deep love for family. Though her physical
presence will be dearly missed, her spirit and wisdom will continue to guide her children, grandchildren and friends for generations to come.
May she live eternally in peace surrounded by love she so freely gave.
