Robert E. Homler, 68, of Mahwah, formerly of Lodi, peacefully passed away on March 20, 2025. He bravely fought a 16 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born in 1956, he lived in Lodi before moving to Mahwah 25 years ago.
He was active in golfing, bowling, traveling, Boy Scouts, and spending time with family and friends.
He spent 40 years as an agent with the New York Life Insurance Company.
He is survived by his wife Diane, son Nicholas (Alexis), daughter Allison, mother Alice, sister Susan (Carmine) Ciccarelli, brother Thomas (Barbara) Homler, and sister Jane (Robert) Patlen, sister-in law Denise (Mounir) Tahali and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Robert E. Homler.
The family will receive friends on Monday March 24 from 4pm-8pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10am at the Church of the Presentation, 271 W Saddle River Rd, Upper Saddle River, NJ.
Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery & Mausoleum 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ.
