Robert J. Dickinson, 79, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Born in Astoria, NY, he lived in Maywood for most of life before moving to Clifton and finally Toms River 6 years ago. Robert honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967.
Robert was a sales manager for Ford Fasteners in Hackensack, NJ until he retired.
Robert is survived by his daughters Megan (Mark) McCombs, Melanie (Justin) Karpenski, and Kerry Lynn (Rick) Boettcher, and his grandchildren: Gabriella, Xavier, Marlow, Colton, Maggie, and Adalyn.
He was predeceased by his daughter Dawn Marie Wright in 2011.
Visiting hours are 3:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 5, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
Interment will be 12:30pm on Thursday, March 6, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
