Robert Moyle

Robert (Bob) Moyle, 83, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood NJ. 

Born in 1939 in Hoboken NJ, son of Wilbur and Ida Moyle, Bob graduated from Saint Cecilia’s High School and later attended UCLA. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and served as a morse code intercept specialist during the Vietnam War, after which he was honorably discharged. Bob ran the Maywood Insurance Agency, a family-owned business, for 40 successful years until his retirement. 

Preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Braid) Moyle, sister Arlene and brother James. He is survived by brother Bill Moyle and wife Gloria, his son Steven (Red Bank, NJ), his daughter Alison (Wethersfield, CT), his granddaughter Maeve and grandson Caden. Bob also leaves behind his partner of twenty-eight years, Elizabeth “Boots” Turner and her son Erik and daughter Tracey. 

In his earlier years Bob was an avid tennis player. Bob loved being near the ocean, spending years boating and later going on numerous cruises. His intelligence, quips and dry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew Bob.
