Robert B Waring

Robert B. Waring of Ramsey, formerly of Ridgewood, passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 92. He is predeceased by his first wife, Janet (Otto) in 1995 and his daughter Meredith in 2016.

He leaves behind his daughter Melissa and son Andrew (Anne) and three grandchildren, Lauren Neff, James & John Waring.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Marilyn (Clifford), three stepsons, Rich (Juli), Craig (Rebecca), Matt (Liz) and four step grandchildren.

Bob received his BS in Civil Engineering from Union College. He served in the Army Corp of Engineers and was employed by Alcoa in technical sales and marketing in the U.S. and Australia.

He loved to garden, fixer of anything broken, played golf, bowling & loved to travel. Bob was a big fan of the NY Giants & enjoyed our yearly family excursion to Metlife Stadium.

Bob’s legacy of kindness, generosity & gentleness will be remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ from 4p.m. to 7p.m. on Friday October 4th.

A memorial mass will be held at Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, NJ on October 5th at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Bob’s name.
