Rose Marie Kollar

Rose Marie Kollar, 92, of Oakland, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025.  Born in New York City, NY, she has been a resident of Oakland for the past 66 years.

She was a Librarian with the Oakland Public Library for 47 years prior to retiring in 2011. She was also member of West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood.

Rose Marie is survived by her daughter-in-law Ellen George.  She was predeceased by her son Gary in 2014 and by her husband Bob in 2014.

Cremation will be private.  Arrangements by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com. 

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 10:30am on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at West Side Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden in Ridgewood.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose Marie’s memory can be made to the West Side Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Tribute Program.
