Ruth J. Junta, 89, of Mahwah, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2025, in Ridgewood, NJ.
Born in Ridgewood, she graduated from Eastern Academy, was married, and spent most of her adult life in Mahwah where she raised her family. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for her husband Jake’s plumbing business. Ruth was a lifelong member of the Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park, NJ. She always enjoyed spending time in Lake Pleasant, NY and spending time with her family.
She was a loving mother survived by her children Kenneth Junta and his wife Doris, Donna Beekman and her husband Bill, Karen Van Grouw and her husband Tony. She was a loving grandmother to Kenny Junta and his wife Sarah, Mike Junta and his wife Laura, Billy Beekman and his wife Tiffany, Jake Beekman and his wife Natalie, Ashley Beekman-King and her husband Donovan, Jeffrey Van Grouw and his wife Lindsay, Shawn Van Grouw and his girlfriend Winter, and Eric Van Grouw. She was a loving Granny to Jacob, Ben, Hannah & Leah Junta, Jax and Jace Junta, Halston & Grayson Van Grouw.
In addition to her husband Jacob, she was predeceased by her daughter Elaine Ross.
Ruth’s greatest prayer throughout her life was that all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The Junta family will receive friends on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Faith Reformed Church, 95 Prospect St, Midland Park, NJ. An 11:00 AM funeral service will follow. Ruth will be laid to rest at Redeemer Cemetery, Mahwah.
