Samuel Anzalone, aged 81, of Upper Saddle River, passed away on December 2, 2024.
Above all, Sam was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather. In his early years, he attended Brooklyn Community College and earned an associate degree in Retail Marketing which led to his first job as a Retail Sales Manager at Klines Department Store. Later, his career accomplishments included multiple commercial sales leadership roles at Minolta Corporation, Ramsey, NJ and Ricoh Corporation, Reno, NV. Sam enjoyed exercising, golfing, traveling, fine-dining, red wine, good cigars and the many wonderful friendships in his life. He was best known for his generosity and kindness as the patriarch of our family and adoring grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 59 years, his daughter Michele and his sons Anthony and Ronald.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4pm to 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 6 th , at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
