Sharon Moran

Sharon Moran, age 54, of Allendale, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024.  Sharon grew up and lived in Allendale, NJ all her life.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Mark Moran, her beloved daughters, Brynne & Macie Moran.  Her parents, Ralph & Ellen Thorsland.  Her sister, Linda Thorsland Sweeney, sister, Susan Thorsland Langway and her husband, Michael, and her sister, Kristin Thorsland Pfeffer and her husband, Michael.  Sharon also leaves behind many beloved in-laws and adoring nieces and nephews.    

Sharon was in financial planning for Fidelity Investments in Nanuet, NY.

Sharon was a dedicated mom who was always there for Brynne and Macie.  Whether it was as a class mom in elementary and middle school, project graduation or coaching basketball, Sharon made a point to be present in every way possible.  She was enthusiastic and competitive at every game she played.  Be it at cards, board games or most recently, her newfound love, pickleball, she loved to be in the mix, even if she was the one that needed to create it.

Sharon had the unique ability of finding a diamond in the rough.  She loved to find hidden treasures and had a heart and an eye for seeing the best in everything.

The family will receive friends on Thursday 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 30, 2024, 10:00 am at the Guardian Angel RC Church, 320 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon's memory can be made to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women.
