Sinikka Kaarina Laukkanen

Sinikka Kaarina Laukkanen passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. She was 79 years old. Born in Finland, Sinikka spent her early years in rural Finland, then lived in Helsinki as a young adult before moving to the US at the age of 26 years old. Sinikka lived a life full of adventures and hobbies including gardening, hiking, traveling, seeing shows, training dogs, reading, crocheting, and of course, her incredible wood carving. Sinikka is survived by her son Jake, daughter in law Erin, and grandchildren, Chase (8) and Leena (6).

The Laukkanen Family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ.
