Susan Cubby

Susan Lorraine Cubby (née Pfleger) passed away on August 24th, 2024 surrounded by loving family after a short illness. Susan lived most of her life in Waldwick, NJ graduating from Waldwick High School in 1974. Outside of being a mother of two, Susan served the community of Waldwick as a crossing guard for Crescent School Elementary students for almost 40 years, something she took great pride in. Susan is predeceased by father Frank Pfleger, mother Marilyn Pfleger (Blair) and sister Dorthy Pruxma (Pfleger). She is survived by her daughter Shannon Kim (Cubby) and her husband Jason Kim and her two grandsons Jaxon and Sylas, her son David Cubby, her long time partner Frank Christie, her brothers Richie Pfleger and Bud Pfleger as well as her former husband David Cubby. Memorial services will be held at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff NJ on October 12, 2024 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Golden Lights Foundation.
