Thomas Olszewski

OLSZEWSKI, Thomas, age 63, of Upper Saddle River, NJ passed away in his home, on November
15, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, NY before moving to East Brunswick, NJ where he spent his
childhood and early adult life. He attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Environmental Design in 1983. After graduating from college Tom founded Open
Enclosures Inc., a Home Improvement Contracting Company specializing in custom build and design
projects, and historic renovations. After marrying Karen Tryanowski, they moved to their home in
Upper Saddle River. Tom always enjoyed his work, whether it was on a job site or at home. He
enjoyed finding creative solutions to any sort of problem. Upon completing a project, his customers'
happiness and satisfaction was all the compensation he needed. Tom was an avid gardener, bowler,
fisherman, golfer and Yankee fan. After a hard day's work in the yard or working on his 1973
Corvette, he loved to relax with his family on the outdoor patio he built, listening to the waterfall and
enjoying a fire.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Karen, his beloved children Billy and Analise, and her
fiance Jeffrey Thomas Whritner, his mother Eileen Olszewski, his brother John Olszewski, and his
wife Stacey, their three children Brian, Daniel, and Megan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law
Lisa Raffaelli, her children Ryan, Lauren and her husband Hayden Matkovich, and his sister-in-law
Joy Tryanowski.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 20th from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral
Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined by
the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Pony Power Therapies
