Thomas E. Reilly, Sr.

Thomas E. Reilly, 79, of Brick Township, NJ passed away on March 20, 2025.  

Born in Brooklyn in 1945, he also lived in Staten Island before retiring down the shore over 20 years ago. He worked for Verizon Communications and its predecessor companies for his entire career, retiring as Vice President.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Marge, his son Tom and his wife Tracy, his son Chris and his wife Hillary, and his three grandchildren, Ryan, Quinn and Ella. He also leaves behind his sisters Mary and Laurie, and numerous extended family members. Tom was predeceased by his parents, James and Catherine Reilly, and his brother Jim.

Tom had a witty sense of humor and cracked the code to enjoying life. He was a beach guy who liked his cars, and always appreciated time on the golf course, winters in Florida, trips to Europe or working the slot machines down in Atlantic City. He truly valued time with his family, but his most prized relationship was the lifelong partnership with his wife Marge.  

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, March 25 from 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ, and a funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 26 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Ridgewood, NJ.
