William "Bill" J Pollinger

William “Bill” Pollinger passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Bill was the beloved husband of Liz (Van Dyk) for 54 years. He was the dear father of Ben (Christine), and Becky Goglia (Joe), and beloved grandfather of Nate, Ally, Caroline, Nick, and Catherine. Bill is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Joe, and Elizabeth (Eberle) and his siblings Jerry, Ed, and Kathryn Ann (Kelly).

Bill was born and raised in Rutherford, NJ before moving to Fair Lawn, NJ. He resided in Waldwick, NJ for the last 15 years. Bill proudly served in the US Navy from 1968-1972 during the Vietnam War as a jet mechanic on the USS Enterprise. After leaving the Navy, Bill was a successful printer and small business owner.

Bill’s favorite pastimes include traveling with his wife, attending Mets games, playing Bocce and cards, and spending time with friends and family. He was an active member of Nativity Church in Midland Park, where he regularly served as a lector, was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus 5985, and was a member of VFW Post 1049. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
