Young Joo Kim

Young Joo Kim, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2021 surrounded by her adoring family. Mrs. Kim, born in Korea, immigrated to the United States in 1973 with the love of her life, Dr. Gi Ung Kim. Their union thrived for nearly 60 years, until his passing in 2019. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and resiliency that will continue to live on through her loving children: Paul, his wife Ari; Janet, her husband Thomas; John, his wife Jiemin; Karen, and her husband Michael. Mrs. Kim is also survived by her eight devoted grandchildren: Peter, Ryan, Alex, Lauren, Jack, Nick, Theo and Lucy. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 10-11:30am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. The private funeral service for the family will be held at 11:30am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
